A New View and Venue at the StateView Hotel in Raleigh
I received a complimentary tour and lunch at the StateView hotel for review purposes. All opinions are my own. See Disclosure/Disclaimer for details.
Raleigh has a new hotel, and it’s named for the obvious– its amazing views and location on North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus. The StateView Hotel is an Autograph Collection hotel from Marriott’s unique boutique division. The hotel celebrates the University’s rich academics of engineering, textiles, and agriculture. Around every corner and within each room you will find pops of red, wolves and academia. Yet, it’s the natural light and views that will draw you into the StateView.
Collaboration begins with comfortable seating and contemporary designs. Outlets are built into each end table, and low batteries become a distant memory as you share your presentation with a colleague at the large table overlooking Lake Raleigh. Quiet reflection and research takes place in the cozy library with computer stations and an inviting fireplace. Textiles drape the walls and thoughts are processed.
Guest rooms have been aptly named dens and boast wood accents and plush furnishings. Choose a campus or lake side room–views are plentiful. Perfect for relaxing after a swim in the outdoor pool, a workout in the very well equipped fitness center or a run on a nearby trail.
Meals are served in the on-site restaurant, the Flask & Beaker which capitalizes on its scientific name. The chef experiments with locally-sourced ingredients, and creates an exclusive regional menu. Patrons will enjoy the science-theme throughout the restaurant.
With nearly 15,000 square feet of conference space, sophisticated tech amenities, and A/V Equipment, local businesses and corporations will want to impress their clients at the StateView. The hotel has room for 400 guests, 11 modern meeting rooms, and a breathtaking outdoor event area that is uniquely Raleigh.
