Busy May Days & Small Victories
May is a busy month in our home with Mother’s Day and birthdays in the beginning, and end of the school year preparations near the end. This week my 3-year-old celebrated his last day of preschool with a class picnic. His teachers put together a slide show of pictures throughout the year. It was amazing to see how much my little man blossomed this year. He went in unsure and semi potty trained, and emerged confident and completely potty trained.
My 6-year-old had his own fun this week too with a class field trip to Marbles, kid’s museum and field day. I was able to volunteer for both activities. I loved seeing the smiles on his classmates faces as they learned something new. Field Day was a blast, and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed this day as a kid. Next week, is the last week full week of kindergarten. It seems like I was just walking him to his classroom while brushing my tears away, and now first grade is on the horizon.
Although this week has been filled with lots of joy, we’ve also experienced a bit of heartache which prompted me to write- I Can’t Complain.
Now it’s your turn to share your Small Victories this week. How was your week? Did you create, eat, play, exercise or write something meaningful? I welcome you to link up a blog post, be encouraged by the other posts, and leave me a comment.
Have an Amazing week!

- I loved the Lime Essential Oil Melts for the shower. They are super easy to make, and make you feel fresh. I thought these would make perfect gifts or a refreshing way to shower after a summer run.
- Jo Ann shared 8 lemon recipes in her post- Delicious Lemon Recipes. Recipes included fresh-squeezed lemonade, a bundt cake, and even a sugar scrub recipe. Lemon is a favorite scent and flavor of mine; I bookmarked this post for future reference.
- Faith in Adversity and His Truth…Is My Truth lifted my soul and encouraged me with Biblical principles that will strengthen my walk with Jesus.
