Celebrating Breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe
I received a complimentary meal for review purposes. All opinions are my own. See Disclosure/Disclaimer for details.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yet too many times we grab our travel coffee mug and rush out the door. Yesterday, I was busy getting the boys ready for school. They were arguing about which socks to wear and they couldn’t find a match while I was trying to make sure they brushed their teeth and hair. Mornings always seem frantic when we are trying to get ready to go somewhere, and hopefully get their on time. After another stressful morning of getting out the door, I was glad that I planned a breakfast out at Another Broken Egg Cafe. It had been awhile since I had been to the Another Broken Egg Cafe in Morrisville at Park West Village, but I was happy to check out their newest location at Parkside Town Commons in Cary off Highway 55, next to Brixx Pizza.
Luckily, we made it on time to drop-off my youngest at preschool. My oldest is tracked out of school (year round school), so we made our way over to Another Broken Egg Cafe. It was cold outside, but we were welcomed into the warm restaurant with cheerful smiles, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, and yellow and red walls which made it feel like a cozy cafe.
When we sat down at our table, I felt like the craziness of the morning had become a forgotten memory. I ordered a coffee right away, and our waitress brought me the most adorable mug brimming with hot rich coffee. My son ordered a chocolate milk. They have a nice kid’s menu, but my son (he’s 8) likes to order off the adult menu. I choose the Hey Lucy omelette. It came with an English muffin and a side of country potatoes. I also ordered a side of 2 large buttermilk pancakes for my son along with a side of bacon.
When our food arrived, it was like a breakfast celebration. Our breakfast favorites were showing off their goodness and everything we have been missing with rushed breakfast mornings. While I munched on my delicious meal, I scoped out the restaurant– a mom and her friends catching up, two suits discussing a business proposal, and a private room for a shower or a fun gathering of friends. They also offer mimosas, tropical sangria’s and other specialty drinks. Menu items consist of creative takes on simple breakfast items like pancakes, waffles and eggs, and they are handmade with fresh ingredients. So many reasons to celebrate!
