Fit Triangle Mom–I Love Friday Finds
It’s Friday, and I have exciting news to share! FitTriangleMom is back! I tried changing the name to Raleigh Living Local, but I kept hearing from readers about how much FitTriangleMom inspired them. Honestly, just writing it encouraged me as well. You will occasionally read about real estate trends or an open house, but the majority of this blog will be about fitness, faith, and family living in the Triangle. The best way to get back on track is with a weekly roundup of Friday’s Finds.
As a Realtor, I work most weekends, but I still LOVE Fridays! Why? Because I don’t have to wake up as early and convince my kids to get ready for school. I occasionally, go out on Friday nights with my friends and celebrate our successes. There’s a little bit more downtime on the weekends to relax and recharge, but most of all I get to share with you all the cool things happening around the Triangle.
I Love Friday
Totchos: PDQ has reinvented nachos and put a fun twist on tater tots which has become totchos. Tater tots with queso and ranch, scallions and bacon piled on top. Makes a yummy snack to share with friends. My co-workers and I enjoyed sharing an order of totchos. It turned our case of the Monday’s into a a Funday! (I received a complimentary lunch in exchange for this review). There are 3 Triangle area PDQ restaurants– Cary, North Raleigh, and Wake Forest.
Got to Be NC Festival: It’s like the NC State Fair, yet on a smaller scale. The festival is a celebration of all things made and grown in NC. Sample and discover NC wineries and breweries, sauces, energy drinks, tees, and more. The kids will love the carnival rides, and you’ll love the free parking and activities. May 18-20 at the NC State Fairgrounds.
Beachbody: Since I started writing FitTriangleMom 5 years ago, I always wanted to pair it with a fitness/nutrition program. As I’ve been pursuing my financial freedom as a REALTOR, I decided to take the plunge and become a Beachbody Coach. My personal fitness and weight loss has been a roller coaster. I finally feel confident with my weight, and I don’t want to struggle with the ups and downs anymore. I want to stay consistent, and that’s why I chose Beachbody. It offers a myriad of fitness, nutrition, and support programs. I’m not going to push these products on you, but rather I encourage you to watch my journey. If my healthy success interests you, then give the product a try.
Real Estate: The Spring housing market has been super busy! One reason is that the supply is low, and buyers are plentiful. Homes priced below $400,000 most often have multiple offers. Thinking about selling to downsize or upgrade? Now is the time! You can visit my website- http://www.rachelncrealtor.com/my-home-value/ to get a good estimate of how much your home is worth, and how much you can afford in a new home.
The weekend is the best time to check out homes for sale at various Open Houses throughout the Triangle. You can learn about featured Open Houses on the Coldwell Banker Howard Perry & Walston blog. If you happen to attend an Open House, and an agent asks if you are working with another agent, be sure to tell them it’s me– Rachel Withers.
I hope you have a wonderful and safe weekend!
