Friday Favorites…Boomtown Edition

Nearly everyday I read articles about Raleigh being a “Boomtown”, an up-and-coming city with a growing population, housing demands, job openings and calendar chock-full of things to-do. It’s easy to find dining, playing, working, and living in the Triangle. The hard part is picking my favorites. So this week, I’m adding my favorite blogs or websites to my list of favorites. I’d also love your feedback. Comment below with your favorites.

Favorite Food

Krispy Kreme doughnuts are a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s hard to resist those melt in your mouth hot, glazed doughnuts. They are also a North Carolina business with humble beginnings that date back to 1937 in Winston-Salem. Krispy Kreme has since grown into an international company. Yet with an ever changing food market, Krispy Kreme is finding ways to reach it’s customers in a more personal location– the shopping mall.

The first Krispy Kreme kiosk in the United States opened in Raleigh’s Crabtree Valley Mall on Thursday, August 30th. The kiosk is fashioned to resemble the brand’s iconic green and white doughnut box.

Favorite Local Website

Favorite Listing

The accolades about Raleigh continue in the housing market. Raleigh is the happening place to work, dine, play, and the obvious choice to live. But where? Choose a location that is convenient to your job, church or preferred shopping. The great thing about the Raleigh area is that you can be in the middle of it all or pick something off the beaten path. The listing below is located in Youngsville which is only 7 minutes North of Wake Forest. Residents love the small town of Youngsville because it’s close enough to big box retailers and chain restaurants without a huge price tag. In the market to buy or sell your home, contact me, Rachel NC Realtor.

300 Paddy Lane, Youngsville: 3 beds, 2 baths. Pool Community. $291,000. Listed by Coldwell Banker Howard Perry & Walston.
