The holidays seem to bring out the best in people. We are very thankful in November by remembering and sharing how blessed we are. We are giddy with peace, love and presents in December. We snuggle on the couch with our spouse as the fireplace keeps us warm, sipping hot coco in our flannel pj’s and looking at the Christmas tree with it’s colorful lights and ornaments that remind us of pleasant memories. Then January comes, and we put the tree away, the pressures of work and school and all our activities are back in the forecast along with a record breaking blizzard. Our life has transformed back into the monotony of routine, and the snuggles on the couch have been replaced by an exhaustive effort to stay awake to watch our favorite show.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if your marriage was a year-long celebration, and not just a couple of months of holidays or an anniversary. Every day would be filled with sharing words of gratitude, giving gifts (beyond the tangible ones), taking time for each other, and of course snuggling.
So how does a marriage go from blah to wow? It’s about making a change, and learning new habits- Happy Habits. I’m excited to be apart of the book launch for Kathi Lipp’s new book, 21 Days to A Better Relationship, Happy Habits for Couples. It’s more than a book, and more like a 21-day challenge filled with projects. Kathi and her husband Roger share tips, ideas, and strategies to make these habits stick. They even did a trial-run with their church. The book can be done as a couple or solo; either way it will bless your marriage.
So are you ready to take the challenge? Are you ready to transform your marriage? It might be a little uncomfortable at first, and you might have to get naked (sex), but I’m telling you I’m tired of blah and so ready for WOW! You can order this book from Family Christian for only $6.97! Click the picture below to order your copy.
I’m also linking up with some other ladies in the launch group as they share their experiences. You might be thinking- this will never work, or my husband is not a believer, but you’ll never know if you don’t try. Read the other ladies’ posts and see how they make each project fit their marriage. I’ll also be sharing daily updates through pictures on Instagram and Twitter. Make sure you’re following me for encouragement in the 21-day Challenge.
