Meet U at PDQ

Have you ever wondered how all the successful sitcoms have a go-to hangout place? Friends had Central Perk, Saved by the Bell had The Maxx, and 90210 had the Peach Pit. And now Cary has PDQ. The fresh fast food restaurant aptly named after the acronym People Dedicated to Quality (read more about PDQ’s quality food).

I realized this notion while sitting at the counter at PDQ tasting their new toffee coffee milkshake. Liam was enjoying his chicken tenders, apples and Yoo-hoo when half the student body of the local high school entered the restaurant. I watched as the large restaurant filled quickly with lively teens laughing, joking and smiling. They seemed to thoroughly enjoy the fresh salads, chicken sandwiches, tenders and of course milkshakes.

It’s not just teenagers that congregate at PDQ. Last month my son’s elementary school filled the restaurant to capacity for the school’s family night, my family enjoys a fresh and fast dinner after soccer practice, and it’s always fun to stop-in for a treat– fresh baked cookies and milkshakes.

The friendly staff, the clean restaurant and the fresh and local food makes PDQ an iconic hangout. I never worry about freshness and quality at PDQ. The kids can enjoy a healthy meal, and I can have my salad and milkshake too.

They really need to open a 2nd Cary location. I’ll mention it to the manager. 🙂

There are 2 PDQ Triangle locations- Cary and Raleigh. You should give it a try. The grilled salads are my favorite.

      1. There must be 3, I live near one in North Raleigh/Wake Forest and there’s another one on Falls of Neuse Rd.
