Busy May Days Part 2
The busy May Days continued this week with a traumatic dentist appointment and a couple of soccer games plus endless laundry. My 6-year-old had a front baby tooth that just wouldn’t wiggle out and an adult tooth on its way in. Thanks to the talented Dr. Dan, he was able to extract 2 baby teeth to make room for the one big tooth. I was incredibly proud of my son for taking a shot in the mouth and enduring the extraction. We celebrated with pancakes at Ihop afterwards. I was surprised he could eat after his dental procedure, but my little man chewed on the other side of his mouth and scarfed down 2 banana pancakes.
We wrapped up our soccer season this week with two amazing games. I had the privilege of being the assistant coach for the team. I enjoyed sharing my love of soccer with Aiden’s team. I liked the fact that the head coach, Tara was also a mom of a player. During one of the games, Tara had her baby girl on her back in a carrier. The boys kept asking her you have a baby? Yes, moms multitask! We can take care of children and coach soccer.
I turned up the intensity in my workout routine with a bootcamp class this week. My #gymgirl and I battled out carrying a punching bag and flipping tires, but this week I’ll be running more in preparation for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This year, I am running for two friends that were diagnosed with breast cancer. Both of them underwent a full mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. I would appreciate any donation you can make to my team as we fight this horrible disease. Donate Here!
In the midst of all things busy, I have started a new project…a book. It’s been something that has been weighing on my heart for awhile, and I know it’s time to take this step into the unknown. The book is about finding your strength, and I know with God’s help; I won’t be on this journey alone. So, if don’t see as many posts; it’s because I’m writing.
Now it’s your turn to share your Small Victories this week. How was your week? Did you create, eat, play, exercise or write something meaningful? I welcome you to link up a blog post, be encouraged by the other posts, and leave me a comment.
